マーベル・シネマティック・ユニバース（MCU）映画『ブラックパンサー／ワカンダ・フォーエバー』のワールドプレミアが、2022年10月26日（米国時間）に開催された。

本作はMCU映画の記念すべき第30作目にして、ブラックパンサー／ティ・チャラ役を演じたチャドウィック・ボーズマンの逝去後に製作された、ユニバース史上はじめてとなる主役不在の続編映画。監督・脚本はライアン・クーグラーが続投し、出演者にはレティーシャ・ライト、アンジェラ・バセット、ルピタ・ニョンゴ、ダナイ・グリラ、ウィンストン・デューク、マーティン・フリーマンらが再結集した。初登場のネイモア役はテノッチ・ウエルタ、アイアンハート役はドミニク・ソーン。試写の観客に「こんなコミック映画はかつてなかった」と言わしめた、壮大なる一作の登場だ。

驚くべき一作。MCUフェイズ4で頭ひとつ抜けた傑作です。最初から最後まで、音楽が非常に優れていることを軽視するわけにはいきませんし、キャストに弱点もありません。けれども、アンジェラ・バセットとレティーシャ・ライトに特別な賛辞を。ふたりには本当に感動しました。

ユーモアに少々疲れていたMCUファンには、この映画が非常にシリアスであることは良い知らせになるでしょう。映画の後半にジョークはほとんどありませんし、ほとんどにおいて、MCUで最も真剣な映画のひとつです。まったく文句はありませんし、あらゆる意味でMCU最高傑作のひとつ、正真正銘の素晴らしい映画だと思います。

ワールドプレミアで映画を観た人たちが「最高の映画だ」と口にするのを、みなさんが信じないことはわかっています。けれども『ブラックパンサー／ワカンダ・フォーエバー』は優れた続編であり、素晴らしい映画です。エモーショナルな作品と予想していましたし、その通りでした。涙を流すことになるでしょう。ライアン・クーグラー、見事な仕事です。ネイモアも最高だった。

もうひとつ感銘を受けたのは、ライアン・クーグラーがチャドウィック・ボーズマン抜きで続編を作るという不可能に挑み、敬意を表しながらもシリーズを前進させ、そして大成功させたこと。大ヒットするでしょう。

全体のアンサンブルも素晴らしいですが、テノッチ・ウエルタが見事な、そして複雑な解釈のネイモアで登場します。撮影、音楽、視覚効果のすべてがこれまで以上。マーベル映画でも屈指の仕事です。全編にわたって新鮮な風が吹いている。
