オジー・オズボーンやメガデスら、DC「ダークナイツ：デスメタル」とコラボ

メタル界のスターたちがDCコミックスとコラボレーションを果たす。コミック「ダークナイツ：デスメタル」とバンドとのコラボレーション企画「Dark Nights: Death Metal – Band Edition（原題）」が発表された。

ここでいうDeath Metalとは、ジャンルとしてのデスメタルを指すのではなく、DCコミックスのクロスオーバー・イベントの名称。別世界から襲来した悪のバットマンたちを描く「ダークナイツ・メタル」の続編に当たる位置づけだ。

このコミックに、メタル界の重鎮や人気バンドが集結。毎号、アーティストを描いたヴァリアントカバー（特別表紙）や、独占インタビューが掲載される。

登場するのは、オジー・オズボーンや、スラッシュメタル“BIG4”の一角であるメガデスをはじめ、カリスマ的人気を誇るゴースト、男女混声ゴシック・メタルバンドのラクーナ・コイル、プログレッシブ・メタルバンドのオーペス、ブラジルの雄 セパルトゥラ、繊細で複雑な世界観で知られるドリーム・シアター。各カバーアートはDCコミックス米公式サイトで掲載されているほか、各バンドもSNSで公開している。とりわけ、ゴーストとオジー・オズボーンはダークなコミックの世界にもすんなり溶け込んでいるように見える。発表されたラインナップは以下の通り。
